This page is pictures of show dogs.  These are not my groomings but this will give you the idea of what their grooms are supposed to look like.  Please remember that some of these dogs are hand stripped and not clippered, also, some are fluffed and hair sprayed.  We can get your dog looking as close to possible to these with a pet trim.
Note:  The back is not shave close so that you can see the skin and the "skirt" does not start high up on the sides.  The tail is very tailored.
Note:  The "skirt" is very short and tight and hangs below the body, not high up on the sides.  The furnishings are short.
Note:  Eyebrows are long and come to a point toward the nose, but eyes are still very visable.
Note: Goldens aren't a large as the pet Goldens.  Wow
As you can see the Bichon is not just an overgrown fluff ball.  It's actually cut quite close in some areas and is a shapely hand scissored cut.  Note:  the ears are not long and the head is quite tall.
Note: The Cocker back is not shaved!  It is carded and the skin should not be visiable.  Notice that there is no "hula hoop" skirt on the dog as I see so many times on the pet Cocker.  The skirt should be blended from the shorter back.
Note: The show OES coat is teased, powdered and hairsprayed to look like this.  He will be bathed right after the show is over and will not look like this.  Even a Show breeder will not keep an OES in a long coat after the dog has finished his show career.
Look how small a bred by standard Pom really is... Too Cute!
Check back soon to see what I add!
